The #AbsoluteAtDellFRS Twitter Sweepstakes February 2016(“Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Absolute Software Corporation, located at 1600-1055 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada V7X 1K8 (“Sponsor”).
Sweepstakes period: The Sweepstakes commences on February 10, 2016 at 9:30 PM Pacific Time and ends on February 11, 2016 at 12:30 AM Pacific Time (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
How to enter: The Sweepstakes is a random drawing sweepstakes promotion. You can enter it by sharing a tweet using Twitter that includes a photo taken at Absolute’s “Step Into the Light” party on February 10, 2016 held at Light Nightclub located in Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, with the hashtag #AbsoluteAtDellFRS (“Event Hashtag”). Multiple entries per entrant are permitted. To be eligible for a prize, all entries must be submitted by 12:30 AM Pacific Time on February 11, 2016. Each entry has an equal chance to win. Absolute, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process.
Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the US and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years or older as of February 10, 2016 and who are guests of Absolute at the “Step Into the Light” event on February 10, 2016, held at Light Nightclub located in Mandalay Bay Hotelin Las Vegas, NV. Persons in any of the following categories are not eligible to participate or win a prize: (a) persons who from and after February 10, 2016 were or are employees or agents of the Sponsor or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or the service agencies or independent contractors of the above organization(s); (b) persons who are engaged in the development, production, distribution of materials, or drawing of winners for this sweepstakes; and (c) persons who are immediate families of or who reside in the same household as any person in either of the preceding categories. If an entrant is not of the age of legal majority in the place where he or she resides, the entrant must have a parent or guardian enter on his or her behalf. Entries that violate Twitter’s Rules will be ineligible. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of multiple addresses and/or email addresses, logins, or multiple identities, posting duplicate or near duplicate tweets. Entries that violate Absolute’s Community Guidelines (which can be found here) will also be ineligible. Automated or robotic entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be ineligible. The entry must not infringe, in any manner, any third party’s right, title, and interest in and to any and all intellectual property, including patents, copyrights, inventions, original works of authorship, developments, concepts, improvements, designs, discoveries, ideas, trademarks or trade secrets. Any entry that is determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, at any time during the Sweepstakes, to violate the Eligibility requirements or these Official Rules, or to otherwise be unsuitable, offensive or in poor taste, may be rejected and the accompanying entrant may be disqualified.
Prize Details: One (1) prize will be awarded, consisting of one (1) gift card valued at USD$100 from a vendor to be determined by the Sponsor. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The prize is not transferable and cannot be assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value in the event that the stated prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of the Sponsor. All taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Neither the Sponsor nor its affiliates or subsidiaries will be responsible for any loss, liability or damage arising out of the winner’s acceptance or use of the prize.
Winner selection: The winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries on the draw date of February 11, 2016 by a representative of the Sponsor, and the selection will be final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit one prize per entrant. The winner will be notified on February 11, 2016, at or about 1:00 AM Pacific Time through a public announcement at the Dell FRS event site in Las Vegas, NV. (The winner may also be published on the Absolute Events Twitter page (@AbtEvents).) The winner may be required to execute a Statement of Eligibility and Release and Payment Authorization. The winner may be asked a skill-testing question. The winner must claim the prize by providing the Sponsor with the winner’s name, contact information and evidence of age of legal majority (or approval of a parent or guardian) at the event site or at the Absolute booth #2014 at Dell FRS in Las Vegas, NV before 2:30 PM Pacific Time on February 11, 2016, or will be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Entry and/or acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its affiliates and agencies to use the winner’s name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, unless prohibited by law.
Limitation of liability: The Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay of operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, misdirection of, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating downloading materials in the Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In such event, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select a winner from among all eligible entries received prior to or after such cancellation, suspension, or modification. The Sponsor reserves the right to supplement or amend these Official Rules at any time.
Applicable law: The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. Other provincial, state, federal and local laws and regulations may apply.
Conditions: By participating in or entering the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or modify the Sweepstakes at any time for any reason. In such circumstances the prize will be awarded based on entries received to date of termination. The prize will be awarded. The winner must comply with all applicable provincial, state, federal and local laws relating to possession of the prize.
Consumer Information: The Sponsor is responsible for the collection or processing of entries and the overall administration of the Sweepstakes. Entrants should look solely to the Sponsor with any questions, comments or problems related to the Contest.
