The Electronic Filing (E-file) PINs Web application has been removed from the IRS website after repeated automated attacks by hackers. While the IRS says that only a few PINs were actually affected in the attacks, the application was removed for safety reasons.

Hacking group OurMine targeted Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently by breaking into his Quora account. The group says that they have been purposely targeting major tech executives.

A new kind of botnet has been discovered after an attack was carried out on an online jewelry store. Using 25,000 hacked CCTV cameras, this botnet was able to flood the store’s website with 35,000 junk HTTP requests per second.
